A log of my posts across the forums.

Hey everyone!

We are now ready to have everyone use the new Stardock Central! Please note that this software is currently in Beta and may contain bugs or performance issues.

What does the new Stardock Central do? It lets you download and install any Stardock software you've purchased. It notifies you of updates to the software you have it installed. It also downloads the installers to your computer so that you will always have a backup of our software in the future.

You can download it by going to this page and clicking on Download: https://www.stardock.com/stardockcentral/

Note that the new Stardock Central can update itself. This means that when I push a new version of Stardock Central live, it will automatically update itself the next time it runs. There's no need to come back here to re-download future updates!

Please post any issues you have in the Stardock Central Support forum. I'll be checking it daily for any issues.

Bara

Quoting RedneckDude, reply 56Now it shows WinFX 5 beta, but I have installed it twice and it still shows as available.

For both installs, did you install it from SDC, Impulse, or the store? Did you uninstall it in between installs?

Bara

I must apologize. I goofed. I installed Plus 2 via SDC, Plus 1.9 via store, since SDC didn't offer it.

I took a look at your registry and everything seems to be OK, so I'm not quite sure what the issue is. Let's try something. Can you uninstall WindowFX completely, then delete these registry keys (if they exist, tell me if they don't):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\ObjectDesktop\WindowFX5

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Stardock\ObjectDesktop\WindowFX5

Then try re-installing it using Stardock Central, and see if it still shows as uninstalled or as an update.

No, they no longer exist. ( I did, however, find Multiplicity in those places, which is not installed.)

Reinstalled, SDC shows as installed.

Auto install done - I think. I can't find where to check the version number.

Click on the gear symbol at the top right, then click on Settings. The version number will be on the top right.

You mean like a changelog?

Got this after installing WB update. Wanted to check the version number to see if it updated. It did but this error message came up.
