A log of my posts across the forums.

Hello everyone!

I just pushed an update to the forums with some heavy performance improvements done to the backend by our database engineer.  A lot of things were changed, so I don't expect this update to be perfect.  Please take a look around, and if you notice any problems or any areas that could use another performance boost, let me know here!

There were also other, minor changes made to the design and back-end structure of the forums.  Most of these are miniscule, so I won't bother to list them, but anything that seems off or wrong is definitely a bug, so be sure to let me know here or via PM!

The replies and everything work fine now. Bara fixed it up pretty quickly this morning.

Quoting Daiwa,

In FF3, clicking on the 'go to last read reply' arrow of a post when viewing the 'My Replies' list takes you to the top of the page containing the last read reply, not to the reply itself.

I just tried it and it takes me to the proper reply without a problem. Can you try hard refreshing (Ctrl + F5) on that page to see if it makes a difference?

That now seems to be working properly again.

Thanks for all the hard work, Bara.

Forum seems to be working well enough to leave the update as is, and continue fixing bugs from now on. Sounds paradoxal, but I mean no software rollback is necessary as far as I am concerned.

Yes, I won't be doing a rollback, all of the major issues are fixed.  We'll still be working on performance and the like, but only if a big enough difference is noticed with this update as far as speed and server load.

Not only is the number of replies different but the way each one lines up beneath the previous one is way off. They're running at an angle top left to bottom right.and crowding each other. It's hard to tell what belongs to who. Refreshing the page works until after you go to the next then you have to do it all over again. Oh...BK's 'puter runs ie6.

Uh, oh, I found a problem! And it's really annoying. I was trying to edit a post I wrote here(http://forums.impulsedriven.com/331326/page/1/#1955860), but after i pressed save changes things everywhere got out of control. Spaces were made every which way, and some styles were added/removed. (its a story post, and i was trying to update a chapter, but now its all messed up.) if u look on the first post in that link, that's what happened. I tried everything I can think of to change it back to normal, but still nothings happened. Please fix it soon!!!!

Ok, some how all my posts got cloned! Some are doubled or tripled, but I have one that got cloned like 8 times! I assume this happened when the forums got updated but I would like to know if anyone else has had the problem and maybe someone knows why.

Oh btw..:

 There is no text..

"My Posts" menu seems to be listing most of my topics twice.

Where do you see my reply as being #9?

On the quote box. Basically it uses the reply # on the current page, rather than the overall thread. 25 replies per page x 4 pages = 100 replies, reply #9 on page 5.

Nope, it keeps only the last two digits of any replies! But if you click on the tiny arrow, you'd switch at the page where it's being quoted from.

There's some serious stuff goin' on with the posts. Font sizes are changing randomly...text is stretched across the page...digicons are in a vey long line as if they're trying for more than one screen. Noe of the posts are lining up correctly. It's a real mess!

What browser are you using? I don't see any of that stuff. Or do you have an example thread?
